If you’re curious about swinging a hammer and firing up a forge, this is the place to start and the place to take basic skills to the next level. In this course, students will be introduced to the basic skills of blacksmithing, including safety, coal forge operation, tools, and equipment, and then learn and implement the techniques to forge multiple projects. Projects will include s-hooks, decorative leaves, roasting forks, spoons, heat treatment of high carbon steel, and extra small projects as time allows.

Students ages 16+ may register for this course independently. Youth ages 14+ are welcome to register with an adult. A 25% tuition discount applies to the youth registrant when registering with a full-paying adult; call to register.
