Blacksmithing & Toolmaking
Blacksmithing Cabin Decor: From the Kitchen to the Outhouse
Course Overview
Outfit a cabin or home with unique handmade practical objects while practicing fundamental blacksmithing techniques. This is a great next-level course for students who’ve taken a foundational course and are ready to tackle practical and artistic projects for the home. This is not an appropriate course for those who are totally new to blacksmithing. Students will have a chance to explore their creative aspirations with different skill-based projects and practice fundamental skills. Students will work on a coal forge to produce projects such as hand towel rings, napkin rings, towel racks, pot racks, toilet paper holders, and bottle openers as time allows.
This course is open to ages 16+. Youth ages 14-15 are welcome to participate with a full-paying adult. Youth registrants will receive a 25% intergenerational discount; call to inquire.
