Birds Of Superior (In October)

Course Overview

This course introduces students to the beauty and intrigue of fall migration on Lake Superior’s North Shore. Late October is a season of tremendous transition. Superior’s shore from Grand Marais to the Canadian border serves as the backdrop for a full day of exploration. Instructor Bob Janssen has long been intrigued with October in the North. With his assistance, students will investigate the migratory movement of birds throughout the region while also working to enhance their birding field skills. Materials fees include van transportation and lunch for the entire group to maximize opportunities for discussion during field outings. This course is part of the Autumn Migration & Superior Ecology Festival.
