Woodcarving

Wooden Latch Shrink Pots

Course Overview

Shrink pots are wooden containers made from a combination of freshly cut branches, seasoned wood, and a touch of green woodworking magic. Like many forms of green woodworking, they have a way of grabbing hold of folks as projects that offer a delightful combination of both simplicity and scope for creativity and personal expression. In this class, students will add a bit of twist and whimsy to their shrink pots by carving two styles of wooden latches—designed to secure both the lids and the curious or commonplace contents within.
