Kids Only - Toolmaking: The Wooden Mallet

Course Overview

Expand your toolbox and your woodworking skills by making your very own wooden mallet! Historically craftspeople would have to make many of the tools they used on a daily basis. Students will shape a mallet head and handle using a spokeshaves and rasps, then assemble the pieces using simple joinery techniques. Once complete, students will have a chance to practice using their new tool on leather and wood.

This class is for kids only, ages 10+.
