Tablet Weaving

Course Overview

Not all types of weaving require complex equipment or techniques. In this one day workshop, you will learn how to use simple cards with holes in the corners to create a mini "loom" for weaving narrow bands. The bands work well as book markers, handles for bags, hatbands, and trims for table linens or garments. Weaving tablets were found in Norway as early as 600AD. We can use this ancient technique to create modern textiles based on those designs.
