Simple Hand-Sewn Leather Shoulder Bag

Course Overview
Learn the traditional skills of leatherwork as you make a simple shoulder bag that will last for decades. Students will learn how to sew, trim, and finish their bag out of natural vegetable tanned cowhide. Instruction will include basic surface design, wet molding, and hardware application. No prior sewing experience is necessary, but this class will require good hand dexterity and some arm strength for hitting tools with a mallet. Bring your reading glasses if you need them! This course is open to students ages 13+ if accompanied by an adult.

- All required tools/materials are provided by your instructor and North House and will be available once the course begins.
