Course Overview

Learn all the basic stitches needed to discover freeform embroidery with threads and wool yarns. Try out different techniques and materials to make a small sampler of stitches. Students will create their own designs inspired by traditional styles and the North Shore landscape. Students will transfer their designs to fabric and start stitching in class. Come ready to experiment, have fun, and begin to develop your own personal embroidery style. Students will leave with plenty of ideas to help add unique stitching to more projects.
