Course Overview

Learn all the basic stitches you need, and discover freeform embroidery with threads and wool yarns. Try out different techniques and materials as you make a small sampler of stitches. Then create your own design, inspired by traditional styles and the North Shore landscape.  You’ll transfer your design to fabric and start stitching in class. Come ready to experiment, have fun, and begin to develop your own personal embroidery style. You'll leave with plenty of ideas to help you add unique stitching to more projects.

Students aged 14+ may register for this course independently. Students aged 12-13 may register with a full-paying adult. The youth student will receive a 25% intergenerational discount; call to register.
