Overshot is a beautiful weave structure that has a wide range of intricate design possibilities! From undulating waves to dashing circles, the weaver can create curved patterns on the loom’s natural grid system. This weave structure is one of many patterns that use a supplemental weft that skips over many warp threads to create complex designs on a stable cloth. In this class, students will learn more about this beloved weave structure and weave their own overshot table runners using cotton and wool on 4 shaft floor looms. No weaving experience is necessary, but some experience is helpful.
