Make a Leather Sheath for Your Knife

Course Overview

Join in for a day full of conversation, learning, and laughter. Students will learn to design, pattern, and sew a custom knife sheath for a knife of your choosing. Class will use vegetable tanned leather and the saddle stitch technique to craft unique and useful sheaths for some of our most cherished tools. Students can bring a kitchen knife and we could make a travel sheath allowing you to bring a good knife with you to parties, or students can bring a sloyd knife and can design a sheath for hanging on your belt or to go in your pocket. Cooper will bring many examples of sheaths he has made.

Students ages 12+ may register for this workshop. Youth ages 10+ may register if accompanied by an adult. Adult/child pairs will complete one project and pay one materials fee. A 25% tuition discount applies to the youth registrant when registering with a full paying adult; call to register.
