Freya's Fantasy Filigree: Scandinavian-Inspired Jewelry

Course Overview

It is said that Freya, the Nordic goddess of love, wagered all to acquire the beautiful "Brisingamen" necklace fashioned by dwarves. The medieval texts do not describe what the necklace looked like, but we can imagine that Scandinavian filigree work was a signature element. Using twisted fine silver wire we will create a beautiful pendant fit for a queen! We will use the same tools and techniques of traditional filigree incorporating a contemporary "twist" in design. Previous metalworking experience is helpful but not required. A willingness to work with hand tools and soldering equipment is a must. All tools and materials provided.
