Finding a Sense of Place: Connecting Spiritually with Nature

Course Overview

The boat drifted lazily in the current, and Oleg, the native Siberian hunter said, “Jon, you failed on your spirit journey directly into the Other World. But you’re a good traveler in this World. Travel into the Tundra and Kutcha the Raven God will speak to you.” We all find peace and solace by walking in the woods. In this workshop, students join author and explorer Jon Turk discovering how to expand their awareness and presence in the natural landscape. Participants will draw from the parallel wisdoms of Moolynaut the shaman and Oleg the hunter to develop take-home practices, applicable to 21st century culture, to strip away past and present, and find deep meditative presence in nature.
