Fibers For Kids

Course Overview

Get ready to experience fun with fibers! Join skilled artists from the Northwoods Fiber Guild to create hands-on fiber projects designed specifically for kids (and a helpful adult). Students will choose to try their hands at projects such as weaving on a 4-harness loom, wool felting, Scandinavian Valentine’s hearts, Kumihimo braiding, corn husk dolls, and Japanese suminagashi ink and paper printing. Everyone will leave with at least three completed projects. Participants age 7 years and up welcomed, and need to be accompanied by an adult.
