A pair of sandals that fits just right is a highly prized possession—and all the better if they are attractive and one-of-a-kind. Create a pair of custom hand-stitched leather sandals to enjoy for years to come. Students will spend some time sketching ideas and discussing execution, working from a few basic designs the instructor will provide. Students will then hand cut and hand stitch their sandals, adding a leather sole with a waffle tap for traction and waterproofing. The course will include learning skills that may be applicable to a number of other leatherworking projects.

You will need the following tools for this class:

All required tools/materials are provided by your instructor and North House and will be available once the course begins. You might consider wearing shoes that are easy to take on and off as you'll be doing lots of fitting.
