Course Overview

For those looking to level up their blacksmithing skills in the way that only an immersive hands-on environment can do (sorry YouTube), look no further. This course is designed to continue the skills of the blacksmith beyond the basics. Students should have some experience in forging before entering this class. We will jump right into forging some specialty high carbon tools for projects throughout the class such as decorative punches and gouges. Additional projects will include stylized leaf making, rams head sculpting, advanced twisting and a multi piece construction project through forge welding and riveting. This course is focused on creating artistic blacksmith projects and the specialty tools needed to create your own unique art.  This course is open to ages 17+. Youth ages 14-16 are welcome to register with a full-paying adult, provided that they have appropriate experience. A 25% tuition discount applies to the youth registrant when registering with a full paying adult; call to register.
