Fiber Art
Bead Embroidery: Stitched and Framed
Course Overview
Discover the magic of “painting with beads” with your choice of seven different bead designs. In this course, artist Jo Wood will lead you through your choice of bead-embroidered projects and framing your finished piece. Based on her popular pin designs on felted wool, students can choose the birch tree (your choice of four seasons), capturing this most memorable tree of the North; the lady slipper, reflecting the natural beauty of Minnesota’s state flower; or one of two dragonfly designs, playful in color and dimension. This is a unique and rewarding project to expand your creative palette. Participants will go home with a framed piece of bead and fiber art. Jo’s goal is to demystify the process and materials of bead embroidery.
