Special Event
Basketmaking: Diagonal Plaiting with Black Ash Splint (Online Course)
Course Overview
With diagonal plaiting, all the elements that formed the base are turned up and woven at a 45 degree angle to form the sides of the basket. What might sound complicated at first turns into amazement when one sees how it all comes together! In this fun-filled mini course, participants will weave their own basket, measuring approx. 5” in diameter, using choice, prepared ash splint material provided by the instructor.
