Looking at the world around us you can find inspiration everywhere. We will look at the lake, rocks, leaves, tree bark, fruit, vegetables, sidewalks, bricks…on the surface of everything there is texture. We will look at these textures and interpret them onto a sample board. With just a few carving tools learn how to create different textures that then be put on to future wood turnings. If you have carving tools feel free to bring them.
