This workshop will focus on teaching traditional Irish tunes. Nathan will teach several tunes, and share his approach with students to encourage growth in each participant's individual style. The class will also cover ornamentation (cuts, rolls, bowed triplets, etc) and take a look at what makes Irish music sound unique. Tunes will be taught in the traditional method - by ear, so please bring a recorder, although sheet music will be available at the end of class. This class is open to players of all melody instruments, but highly recommended for fiddle players.
