When Fred Livesay (a seasoned instructor at North House) was a child, his father helped him build several toy boats to play with in the bath and at the lake. The boats are now long gone, but the memories of those boats remain. Create a memorable experience with your grandchild, child or any young person in your life as the two of you work together to build two boats: a paddle boat and a working cat-rigged sailboat. From construction to painting, this class should be a joint effort between children and adults. Fair weather permitting, we will sail the finished boats on the Grand Marais harbor.
