Special Event
Timber Raising: Unplugged (Mini) Crash Course
Course Overview
A timber framed tiny house in two hours? Tenons and timbers, mortises and more! Participate in an old-fashioned barn raising, working as a group to assemble an 8x8 timber framed structure (okay, it’s a small barn, we’ll admit). Try your hand at the beam drill and mallet as you learn about the history of timber framing and see several examples of completed frames. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to lift those timbers!
