A student wishing to learn the techniques of wood/canvas canoe construction, but perhaps not yet ready to undertake constructing a boat of their own, can participate by working on a group project. In this manner you can acquire the skills needed to move forward on your own or return to North House at a later date for more advanced work. This option is also structured to accommodate those students wanting to learn the steps involved in lofting and constructing the form on which a wood/canvas canoe is built.
