Discovered a few broken ribs in the wood-canvas canoe you were thinking about restoring? Stripped the canvas off that Old Town or Chestnut to discover a cracked stem? This course is for wood-canvas canoe restoration students who have a specific steambending project on their canoe that needs attention and replacement. Celebrated wood-canvas canoe builder Jeanne Bourquin of Ely, Minnesota will be in residence at North House to assist students with their wood-canvas canoe steam bending projects. Students will also have the experience of building a simple steam box project suitable for future steam bending projects. A materials worksheet will be sent to students after they register to determine the steambending needs and a phone conference with Jeanne before the class will cover specific repair needs.
