In this class songwriters of all levels will be encouraged to dig deep into their inner selves to discover what they really want to be writing about. People throw the word “authentic” around a lot these days, and how do you define what is authentic, what is real and what isn't? You know it when you hear it. So how do you access the “authentic”? In this class we will look at tools that will help the writer dig a bit deeper, accessing and uncovering “the story behind the story”, and how to choose what to put in the song and what to leave out. Bring your instrument, your notebook, your newest, shakiest, most newborn songs and we will look at what works and what may need a bit of fostering.
