Snowshoe Repair Workshop
Course Overview
Remember the wooden snowshoes grandpa used at the sugar shack? Don't hang them up on the wall, breathe some life back into them for your grandchildren. Wooden snowshoes are repairable, re-laceable and can last many generations if they're treated properly and repaired when broken. We'll have all the necessary tools to get your pair of snowshoes back into working order: the steam box for re-bending frames, new crosspieces to replace broken ones, rawhide or nylon webbing for re-lacing and enough sandpaper and varnish to make an old pair look shiny and new. Various binding repair or replacement options will also be covered. Whatever shape your snowshoes are in, we'll make every attempt to get them back onto the snow-laden trail. A partner may aid in the snowshoe repair to expedite the repair time for an additional $15 per day.
