This half-day course is an introduction to the world of sled dogs. What do they eat? How fast do they run? Why do they want to pull sleds? Join these social huskies on the North House campus with local musher, Ivy. History, equipment, training, basic care, and life with a yard full of dogs will be covered. Students will participate in a variety of tasks and activities around this growing sport of dog sledding. Dress in layers to be inside the classroom and outside with the dogs. Great class for kids and families.
