Color, tiles, grout, design – these are the basic elements of mosaic craft. Learn side-by-side with your child, grandchild or friend during this intergenerational class. Expect all hands to be busy, as every student (young & old) learns how to design and create their own tiled mosaic. During Day 1 each student will focus on developing their own design, using ceramic pieces, sea glass, glass bobbles and other resources to create the picture, and next adhering it to an 8x8 or 12x12” square base. Day 2 will emphasize learning how to grout your mosaic, and as time allows family pairs will work together on a second project - casting a stepping stone with lake rocks for the design. Whether you are young or a “little older” you will learn skills that will allow you to go forth and create mosaics on your own. (This program is available year-round for groups or families.
