Course
Photography with Seth Kantner
Course Overview
Author Seth Kantner often uses photos to supplement his essays, helping to frame the reader’s imagination so that the story can emerge. In this one-day workshop, you will learn about cold-weather photography, light metering, focus, aperture, various lens lengths, and what to do when surrounded by caribou. Students will learn elements of the photograph: angles, repetition, depth of field, rule of thirds, cropping, and also the use of
accessories including tripod, flash, editors, and any friends with connections to get your amazing photographs published right beside your words. Bring your camera. Students may wish to take "Traveling By Pencil," a two day writing workshop with Seth Kantner.
