Between the mega camping stores and your local gear shop, there's no shortage of options to outfit your camping kit for any season. Few people have experimented with as wide a variety of gear in wildly different conditions as Featured Speakers Dave and Amy Freeman. From the Amazon Basin to Hudson Bay to the eastern seaboard to a year in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, the Freemans have put the gear to the test: all of it. This workshop will give you a hands-on opportunity to set up the tents, fire up the stoves, test the sleep systems, pack the toboggans and try out other equipment that Dave and Amy used during their recent Year in the Wilderness. They will tell you what worked and what didn't, along with giving you some ideas about what to pack on your next adventure in any season.
