North House is proud to present a fun, achievement-oriented project for the whole family. And you get to go home with a boat in just three days! Family Boat Building provides an inexpensive introduction to boating and boat building, beginning with the basic construction of a sturdy, flat bottomed skiff, and ending with the family's first outing on the water in their very own boat. The finished 12’ rowboat will hold 3-4 people for a leisure excursion out on the lake…and a lifetime of memories together building a wooden boat. With a 4' beam, the boat is wide and stable. Two to three family members are encouraged to work on the project together.
