Everyone knows that a knife is a pretty useful tool: you would definitely want one if stranded on a desert island. But exactly how to safely use a knife to make things from wood is a skill-set that isn’t necessarily in everyone’s back pocket. In this workshop, you’ll learn basic knife safety, carving strokes, and start a simple carving project. Sharpening knives will also be touched upon. Knives and materials will be provided for students to use, or bring your own. Gain confidence with a basic tool you’ll use for the rest of your life.
