In the capable hands of our teachers and students alike, this one tree is shaped into skis, boats, canoes, baskets, spoons, and even shoes. Join instructor Julie Kean for a quintessential birch bark project—weaving a birch bark star. Careful folding, a bit of string and lots of patience will be rewarded with a beautiful ornament. Discussion of birch ecology and the history of birch craft will be part of the morning as well.
