It can be a lot easier to raise a few chickens in your back yard than it is to take care of one dog. (And does your dog lay eggs? I didn’t think so.) Get the basics of chicken husbandry, learning what they eat (nearly anything), how much space they need to be happy (shockingly little) and how to troubleshoot basic problems in this one day chicken course. We will cover egg basics, review the life cycle of chickens, discuss different breeds, delve into urban chicken husbandry, investigate butchering options, and much, much more. We will also take a short field trip to a near-by chicken coop for some hands-on interaction.
