Course
Celestial Navigation III: Navigating by the Stars
Course Overview
Navigating by the stars is the oldest form of celestial navigation and has been used for millennia by seafarers to find their way on the seas. This is the third course in our celestial navigation series and will introduce you to taking and working out sights from the moon and stars in the night sky. Participants should either complete Celestial Navigation I or have a good understanding of how to take and work out a sight for latitude and longitude before signing up for the class.
