This course offers novice to advanced naturalists and gardeners an opportunity to learn more about 'Canadian life zone' butterflies of northern Minnesota while also learning about butterfly gardening and habitats for your backyard. You will learn about the ecological and economic significance of butterflies, their life cycles, behavior and ways to observe and photograph them. There is also a class field trip during which you will learn to identify some of the butterflies and skippers of northern Minnesota. The course's schedule will vary depending on weather.
