This tutorial course invites you to take a step beyond the simplest basket forms, and learn to create unusual and distinctively shaped woven birch bark baskets. A vase-shaped container, wish basket, a wall sconce, a baseball cap…the possibilities range far and wide. Each of these projects starts with the same mat shape, but where they end up is determined by basic principles of weaving and your imagination.
