The Swedish folk inspired kitchen is depicted throughout the work of painter Carl Larsson. A number of graceful objects depicted in his work include the wares that both reflect the utility and beauty of the Swedish home. In this three-day workshop, you will craft traditional objects including krymburkar (carved storage boxes), lathe-turned Swedish sugar bowls with locking lids, and hand-carved bread boards and butter knives. Three instructors lead the workshop and participants have the option to select and choose from one these three projects based on time and preference. This course debuts during the opening weekend of a six-week exhibition hosted by North House Folk School titled 'The Home.'
