Discover the ecology of a North Shore stream from its source to its outflow into Lake Superior on this exhilarating guided exploration. You'll never look at a stream the same way again! We'll cover topography, geology, flora and fauna as well as unnatural influences on the stream. Experience the quiet stretches and the rowdy cascades and falls. Sampling for little creatures (invertebrates) and observations of the big ones will be featured as we learn to better understand their homes. Participants must be able to hike on uneven ground. Treks into creek beds, through marshes and across streams may require some fancy footwork.
