Biologist Rolf Peterson spends the better part of every year on Isle Royale, the largest island in Lake Superior. He is a world-renowned wolf researcher, and has headed the Isle Royale Wolf & Moose Study, the longest running study of any wild animal in the world, for 37 years. He will be the featured speaker at the 2011 Winterer’s Gathering & Arctic Film Festival, and will be featured in the film Fortunate Wilderness, which will be screened as part of the festival.
