Program Director Jessa came to Cook County, Minnesota via a circuitous route through Wisconsin, the Twin Cities, Maine, West Africa, California and Chicago. Her long-time interest in food, community and education has guided her through each shift in location. Along the way, Jessa gathered well over a decade of skills in the world of nonprofit programs and education organizations – she also holds a secondary teaching license. Jessa has been a North Shore resident since 2006, and she plays fiddle with several local musical groups. She, her husband Frosty and their furry brown dog reside in Tofte, where she can usually be found in her kitchen experimenting with exotic spices and local produce, and dreaming about upcoming wilderness adventures.
