Dane Stauffer is a multi-disciplinary performer based in the Twin Cities. An Alum of the Children’s Theatre, Tisch School of the Arts/NYU, Dudley Riggs’ Brave NewWorkshop, The Playwright’s Center, Illusion and Jungle Theatres locally, he toured extensively with “Triple Espresso” to both coasts, with a National tour of Ireland. Awarded "Best Actor in a Comedy" by LA Stage Scene for "All in the Timing,” Dane cut his improv teeth early. He spent several happy teen years improvising Commedia del Arte at Renaissance festivals. At NYU , Dane studied theatre games with Omar Shapli, one of the founding members of Compass theatre and Second City Chicago. He then became a resident company member of Dudley Riggs’s Brave New Workshop, writing sketches and improvising nightly.
He was cast leader on the inaugural improvisation season of the cruise ship “The Disney Magic” and studied in Los Angeles with Avery Schreiber, of Second City and “Burns and Schreiber” fame, performing weekly at Second City/Hollywood. He continues to teach empowerment through the arts to children and adults in all settings.
