Stargazing with a Telescope: How to Buy a Good Telescope for a Decent Price

Course Overview

Learn how telescopes work, the different kinds available, and how to choose one to fit your budget. We'll begin with a classroom session on campus, take a dinner break, and then—weather permitting—we'll set up two telescopes for close-up looks of the Moon, Jupiter, and Saturn along with a nice sampling of fall galaxies and star clusters.
